Initial consultation and treatment

Your initial appointment will be a lot like a doctor’s visit. We will ask questions about your medical history, current medications, as well as any surgeries you may have had. We will also take the time to understand the issues or discomfort you have been experiencing with your feet, and work with you to formulate a treatment plan to target your health needs.

Musculoskeletal
assessment and management

This service is for people with acute or chronic foot and/or ankle pain.

A simple biomechanical assessment will be conducted to examine the structure and function of your foot and lower limbs, to identify and treat the cause of the problem. This will help us tailor advice on footwear or activity modification to manage your condition, or should you require one, inform the prescription for any off-the-shelf orthotics.

Common conditions include:

  • Pain under the arch and/or heels, such as plantar fasciitis

  • Achilles tendinopathy

  • Tight calf muscles

  • Morton’s neuroma

  • Shin splints

Nail surgery*

*This treatment will only be provided in a clinic setting.

This service is for people with persistently painful and problematic nails, and is typically performed for nails that have not responded to conservative treatments. This minor procedure is recommended for people who repeatedly experience very painful ingrowing nails, with or without ongoing infections.

The procedure will be performed under local anaesthetics and involves the partial or complete removal of the affected nail. It may also include the controlled application of a chemical to prevent nail regrowth, allowing for lasting resolution of the problem.
